Service Description

Organisations are increasingly focusing on their risks and risk management processes. Factors that have contributed to this increasing focus on risk and risk management processes include: • the development of risk management standards and corporate governance frameworks • directors’ concerns about meeting due diligence and governance obligations • directors’ concerns about escalating insurance costs • changing securities exchange listing and reporting requirements • major events such as terrorism and corporate collapses • strengthening compliance obligations • directors’ increasing awareness of the link between effective risk management, operations, strategy and business success. It is crucial that organisations have risk management systems and processes in place to accurately identify risks, prioritise risks by applying meaningful assessment criteria and implement effective strategies to manage risk exposures so that they able to embrace opportunities and respond to threats. This practical half-day course will provide you with: 1. the knowledge and tools to identify and analyse key risks that may affect your organisation; 2. practical guidance on implementing risk minimisation strategies; 3. tools to effectively manage risk across industry sectors; 4. key tips on embedding risk management within your organisation’s culture and structure; 5. specific knowledge of the effect of ISO 31000:2018 risk standard on your risk management framework. This is an interactive course recommended for those who have risk responsibilities in their role (and are looking to consolidate or refresh their knowledge), or those wishing to move into the risk field.
